Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in the first month of the year 2024 generated 353 million Euro (-7%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­por­ted goods worth € 292 million Euro (-6%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 61 million Euro (+4%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 109 million Euro, followed by the Ne­therlands (55 mil­li­on Euro) and Italy (45 million Euro).

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in January 2025 stood at 292 mil­lion Euro, that is 6% less compared to January 2024. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­­tis­tical office of the European Uni­on, 31% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 91 million Euro, that was 10% less  than in January 2024. Second (17%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 50 million Euro (+38%) fol­lowed by Italy (38 million Euro, -13%), Romania (29 million Euro, 3%), Belgium (22 million Euro, -4%) and France (21 million Euro, +29%).

In the first month of the year 2025 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 61 million Euro from Iran (-11%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (29%) went to Germany, which im­ported goods worth 18 million Euro from Iran (-10%) followed by Spain (12 million Euro, +66%) and Italy (7 million Euro, -46%). 

ICCIMA:   Iran’s Supreme Labor Council approved a 45% increase in the country’s minimum wage for the upcoming year during a meeting on Saturday.

Under the new decision, minimum wage earners will receive 103 million rials per month, up from 71 mil­lion rials this year. The council also approved a 32% wage increase for other worker categories, along with an additional 310,535 rials per day. Ahmad Meidari, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare, stated that pensions for retirees would be adjusted using the same formula, with fur­ther details expected to be announced within the next 48 hours.

Iran had earlier announced plans to raise the minimum wage to a level that would offset the impact of soaring inflation.

Das Statistische Bundesamt hat erste vorläufige Detaildaten zum Handel mit Iran für Januar 2025 veröffent­licht.  Demnach lag der deutsch-irani­sche Außenhandel bei 110 Mil­­li­onen Euro und fiel damit im Vergleich zum Vorjahrjahr um 10%. Deutschland lie­ferte Waren im Wert von 91 Millionen Euro (-9%); die iranischen Lieferungen nach Deutsch­land  lagen bei 19 Millionen Euro (-19%).  

Iran’s non-oil trade stood at $116.982 billion during the first eleven month of the year 1403 (March 20-March 20), according to the data released by the Isla­mic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), that is 11% more than in the first eleven month of the year before.

The export volume of non-oil goods (excluding crude oil, fuel oil and kerosene and also without con­sidering exports of luggage trade) in the first eleven month of the year 1403 valued at $53.376 billi­on, while the im­ports valued at $63.606 billion in the first eleven months of this year. During the mentioned pe­ri­od, the exports improved by 19 percent in terms of value and the imports improved by 6 percent, as compared to the first eleven month of the year 1402. 

China (13,802 Million US-Dollar), Iraq (11,182 Million US-Dollar), the United Arab Emirates UAE (6,643 Mil­­lion US-Dollar), Turkey (6,385 Million US-Dollar) and Afghanistan (2,204 Million US-Dollar) were the top five export desti­na­ti­ons of Iranian non-oil goods in the first eleven month of the year 1403.

The UAE (19,145 Million US-Dollar), China (16,570 Million US-Dollar), Turkey (11,135 Million US-Dol­lar), Germany (2,149 million US-Dollar and India  (1,444 Million US-Dollar) were the top five sources of im­port.

The transit volume reached 20,253 million tons, 26% more than in the same period of the previous year.

The CEO of Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA) announced that flights by Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines will be resumed at the international airport.
Saeed Chalandari said that according to the plans, the flights of the two airlines will resume on March 1 and 2, respectively, ISNA reported. The resumption of flights by the German flagship airline Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines to Iran comes amid an EU ban on flights by Iran’s major airlines to European airports.
The IKA head reported a growth in flights and passengers over the past 11 months. He stated that during this period, 47,476 passenger flights were operated, marking a 4.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Regarding cargo flights, he said there has been a significant growth of over 69%. According to Chalandari, the total number of passengers transported during this period was 7,380,590, indicating a 5.3% rise compared to the same period last year.
