Iran-EU Trade in January 2022 reach 357 Million Euro
Eurostat: EU27-Iran Foreign trade in January 2022 generated 357 million Euro.
The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 287 million Euro (+26%) to Iran and imported goods worth € 70 million (+49%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 131 million Euro, followed by Austria (42 million Euro) and the Netherlands (37 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in January 2022 stood at 287 million Euro, an increase of 26% compared to January 2021. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 38% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth € 108 million, that was 13% more than in January 2021. Second (14%) was Austria with exports worth € 41 million (660%), followed by the Netherlands (€ 32 million, +11%) and Italy (€ 25 million, -21%).
In January 2022 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth € 70 million from Iran (+49%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (34%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 23 million from Iran (+33%), followed by Italy (€ 14 million, +81%), Bulgaria (€ 6 million, +259%), the Netherlands (€ 5 million, +161%) and Romania (€ 5 million, +125%).
