TEHRAN - The total value of Iran’s imports and non-oil-exports during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which began on March 20, amounted to $37.6 billion, the Customs Administration head announced on Monday.
Iran exported around 30 million tons of non-oil goods, worth $15.7 billion, and imported some 15.7 million tons of goods, worth around $21.9 billion in the five-month period of time, Abbas Memarnejad told the Fars News Agency.
The official added that Iran exported around $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods in the past calendar year and imported some $61.8 billion worth of goods, to hit the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade. Memarnejad said non-oil exports rose by 28 percent compared to the year before, while imports declined by 4 percent.
