The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first month of the year 1403 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Farvardin) stood at 38.8%, down from 40.7% in the month before. 

In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “hotels and restaurants” with 45.6 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; ‘housing incl. Water, gas, electricity, etc.’ 40.7% and food and beverages were 23.6% more expensive in the month of Farvardin than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 236,3 indicating a 30.9% rise compared to the same month of the year before.

Austrian Airlines hat ihre Flüge nach Teheran bis 30. April 2024 gestrichen. Ebenso wird AUA den iranischen Luftraum bis einschließlich 30. April 2024 nicht nutzen.

Man beobachte und bewerte kontinuierlich die Sicherheitslage im Nahen Osten und stehe in engem Kontakt mit den Behörden, so Lufthansa Group. Die Sicherheit von Fluggästen und Crews habe stets oberste Priorität.

 

With the 35% rise, minimum wages have increased from 53,082,840 Rial to 71,661,840 Rial per month. Inclu­ding all the fringe benefits, mini­mum wagers will earn app. 110,000,000 per month in the current Iranian year (star­ted March 20). The de­ci­sion was made at a meeting of the Supreme Labor Council in the final days of last Iranian year.

For wages above the minimum level, the increase was decided at 22%, plus 6,900,780 Rial.

In addition, there are allowances such as housing allowance (6,500,000 Rial), contributions for basic necessities (bon) (14,000,000 Rial), child allowance per each child (4,179,750 Rial), severance pay per month (with the pre­con­­dition of having at least one year of working experience) (2,100,000 Rial) and allowances for married per­sons (5,000,000 Rial).   Data without guarantee

Von Januar bis Februar 2024 erreichte der deutsch-iranische Außenhandel einen Wert von  Millionen Euro und lag damit im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum 22% höher. Deutsch­land lieferte Waren im Wert von 241 Millionen Euro (+22%); die iranischen Liefe­run­gen nach Deutschland fielen um 13% auf 41 Mio. Euro.  

Wichtigste Warengruppen bei den deutschen Lieferungen nach Iran von Januar bis Februar 2024 waren Ma­schinen, Apparate und mechanische Geräte (82 Mio. Euro), phar­ma­zeutische Erzeugnisse (39 Mio. Euro),  optische, photo­gra­fische usw. Erzeugnisse (30 Mio. Euro), gefolgt von Ölsamen usw. Heilpflanzen usw.  (17 Mio. Euro) und elektrotechnischen Erzeugnissen (14 Mio. Euro). 

Die iranischen Lieferungen nach Deutschland in den ersten zwei Monaten 2024 setz­ten sich u.a. zusammen aus ge­niessbaren Früch­ten und Nüssen im Wert von 20 Mio. Euro, ande­ren Waren tierischen Ursprungs (Häute und Schafsdärme, 6 Mio. Euro), Tep­pichen (4 Mio. Euro), phar­mazeutischen Erzeugnissen (2 Mio Euro) sowie Perlen, Edel­stei­nen, Edel­­metallen (1,5 Mio. Euro).

Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January 2024 generated 849 million Euro (+9%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­por­ted goods worth € 704 million Euro (+10%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 145 million Euro (+4%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 280 million Euro, followed by Italy (124 million Euro), Romania (91 million Euro) and the Ne­therlands (88 mil­li­on Euro). 

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first two month of the year 2024 stood at 704 mil­lion Euro, an increase of 10% compared to January till February 2023. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­­tis­tical office of the European Union, 34% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 241 million Euro, that was 22% more than in the first two month of the year 2023. Second (12%) was Italy with exports worth 86 million Euro (+3%) fol­lowed by Romania (85 million Euro, +64%) and the Ne­ther­lands (79 million Euro, -15%).

From January to February 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 145 million Euro from Iran (+4%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (27%) went to Ger­ma­ny, which im­ported goods worth 39 million Euro from Iran (-16%), followed by Italy (38 million Euro, +51%) and Spain (16 million Euro, +21%).
