The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first six month of the year 1403 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Shahrivar) stood at 34.2%, down from 34.8% in the month before.
In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “housing incl. water, gas, electricity, etc.’” with 41.5 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by “education and training“ with 40.0%. Food and beverages were 23.8% more expensive in the month of Shahrivar than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 264.7 indicating a 31.2% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
