The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the seventh month of the year 1404 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annual inflation for the month under review (Mehr) increased to 38.9%, marking a 1.4 percent increase from the previous month,

In terms of point to point CPI rise, “food and beverages“ with 64.3% saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by ‘tobacco products’ with 55.5% and  ‘household supplies and furniture’ with 48.8% and ”health services” with 47.8%. The point-to-point inflation — measuring the percentage change in the consumer price index (CPI) compared with the same month a year earlier — stood at 48.6 percent, which means Iranian households spent, on average, 48.6% more than they did in the same month last year to purchase an identical set of goods and services.The Consumer Price Index was reported at 403.8, reflecting a 5.0 percent rise compared to the previous month and a 48.6% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
