Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in the first eight months of the year 2025 generated 2,488 million Euro (-22%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­por­ted goods worth € 1,957 million Euro (-20%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 531 mil­lion Euro (-5%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 806 mil­lion Euro, followed by the Ne­therlands (392 mil­li­on Euro) and Italy (358 million Euro).

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to August of the year 2025 stood at 1,957 mil­­lion Euro, that is 23% less compared to the first eight month of the year 2024. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­­tis­tical office of the European Uni­on, 34% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 656 million Euro, that was 26% less than in the first eight month of year 2024. Second (18%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 348 million Euro (-8%), fol­lowed by Italy (265 million Euro, -23%) and France (148 million Euro, -15%).

From January to August 2025 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 531 million Euro from Iran (-5%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (28%) went to Germany, which im­ported goods worth 150 million Euro from Iran (+1%) followed by Italy with (93 million Euro, -29%) and Spain (70 million Euro, +31%).
