Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in the first five month of the year 2025 generated 1,598 million Euro (-18%). The 27 EU coun­tries ex­por­ted goods worth € 1,262 million Euro (-21%) to Iran and impor­ted goods worth 336 mil­lion Euro (-5%). Ger­­many was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 521 mil­lion Euro, followed the Ne­therlands (250 mil­li­on Euro) and Italy (238 million Euro).

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to May of the year 2025 stood at 1,262 mil­­lion Euro, that is 22% less compared to the first five month of the year 2024. Accor­ding to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­­tis­tical office of the European Uni­on, 34% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 429 million Euro, that was 18% less than in the first five month of year 2024. Second (17%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 220 million Euro (+12%) fol­lowed by Italy (179 million Euro, -19%), France  (96 million Euro, -10%) and  Belgium (84 million Euro, -37%).

From January to May 2025 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 336 million Euro from Iran (-5%). Most of the Ira­nian exports to the European Union (27%) went to Germany, which im­ported goods worth 92 million Euro from Iran (-3%) followed by Italy with (59 million Euro, -31%) and Spain (46 million Euro, +25%).
