The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first month of the year 1404 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Bahman) increased to 33.2%.
In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “food and beverages“ with 42.7% saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by ”health services” with 40.8% and “housing incl. water, gas, electricity, etc.’” with 37.9 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 328.1 indicating a 38.9% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
