Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January to August 2024 generated 3,106 million Euro (+2%). The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 2,545 million Euro (+2%) to Iran and imported goods worth 561 million Euro (+5%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 1023 million Euro, followed by Italy (473 million Euro) and the Netherlands (413 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first eight month of the year 2024 stood at 2,545 million Euro, an increase of 2% compared to January till Augus 2023. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 34% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 875 million Euro, that was 15% more than in the first eight month of the year 2023. Second (15%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 377 million Euro (+9%) followed by Italy (343 million Euro, -11%), Belgium (208 million Euro, +4%) and France (173 million Euro, -11%).
From January to August 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 561 million Euro from Iran (+5%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (26%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 148 million Euro from Iran (-12%), followed by Italy (130 million Euro, +29%) and Spain (53 million Euro, -3%).
