Iran’s Non-oil trade volume hits $36 bn in five months
The latest statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) showed that Iran’s foreign trade volume in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 – August 22) has reached $35.539 billion. The volume of exports of non-oil goods (excluding crude oil, fuel oil and kerosene and also without considering exports out of luggage trade) in the same period valued at $17.800 billion. China (25%), Iraq (22%), Turkey (14%), United Arab Emirates (9%) and Afghanistan (5%) were Iran’s five major export destinations, which accounted for over $13.377 billion (80%) in total.
Iran imported goods, valued at $17.739 billion in the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21–August 22), IRICA added. Accordingly, China (24%), United Arab Emirates (17%) Turkey (13%), India (11%) and Germany (5%) exported over $12.280 billion (69%) worth of products to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the same period.
