Iran's foreign trade reaches over $90bn in 11 months
TEHRAN, Feb. 25 (MNA) - The total value of Iran’s foreign trade (except oil exports) during the first 11 months of the current calendar year (ended on February 19) exceeded $93.87 billion dollars, the Iranian Customs Administration director said. Abbas Memarnejad told IRNA news agency that non-oil exports (including gas condensates) amounted to 68.6 million tons, valued at $39 billion in the mentioned period of time, showing 28.5 percent rise on last year.
Meanwhile, imports totaled 33.5 million tons, worth $54.8 billion, showing 6.4 percent fall compared to the same period last year. China and the UAE were the main importer and exporter of Iranian goods, accounting for 16.7 percent and 32.6 percent of the total exports, respectively. Previously, Trade Promotion Organization chief Hamid Safdel said the value of non-oil exports is expected to hit $43 billion in the current year and $50.5 billion next year.
