The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first four month of the year 1403 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Tir) stood at 35.5%, down from 36.1% in the month before.
In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “housing incl. water, gas, electricity, etc.’” with 42.1 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by “education and training“ with 39.2%. Food and beverages were 26.3% more expensive in the month of Tir than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 255.2 indicating a 32.2% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
