The latest statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) showed that Iran’s foreign trade volume in the first month of the Iranian year 1399 (Mar.20 –April 19) has reached $3.583 billion (-27%). The volume of exports of non-oil goods (excluding crude oil, fuel oil and kerosene and also without considering exports out of luggage trade) in the same period valued at $1.652 billion (-36%). China ($523 million), the United Arab Emirates ($355 million) Iraq ($ 259 million), Afghanistan ($ 125 million) and Turkey ($ 72 million) were Iran’s five major export destinations, which accounted for $1.334 billion (81%) in total.
Iran imported goods valued at $1.931 billion (-17%) in the first month of the Iranian year, IRICA added. Accordingly, China ($ 399 million), the United Arab Emirates ($ 394 million), Turkey ($ 246 million), India ($ 164 million) and the Netherlands ($ 108 million) exported over $1.311 billion (68%) worth of products to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the same period.
