Iran’s non-oil exports earned $15.8 billion in the first two months of the Iranian year (started March 21), based on a report by Iran’s Customs Administration. According to the report, Iranian non-oil exports and imports reached $8.15 billion and $7.68 billion respectively. The report also shows that Iran exported goods worth $8.15 billion, which registered a 29.18-percent growth compared with the corresponding figure of last year. Liquefied propane, methanol and liquefied butane were major exported goods during the period. China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and India imported the largest volume of Iranian goods. Iran’s exports to China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and India reached $1.48 billion, $951 million, $575 million, $334 million and $300 million respectively during the same period.
Some 6.14 million tons of goods worth $7.68 billion were imported, which showed a growth of 45.74 and 34.78 percent in terms of weight and value respectively. The UAE, China, India, Turkey and South Korea exported goods from Iran worth $2.26 billion, $1.61 billion, $693 million, $542 million and $456 million respectively.
