During the first month of current Iranian calendar year ( started at March 21, 2014 ), in total 2 bil­lion and 824 million dollars of goods (including liquid gases and excluding petroleum, gas and luggage trade) were exported form the country while 2 billion and 514 million dollars of goods were imported to the country.  According to the report of Public Relations office of Iran cus­toms, export of non-oil exports fa­ced a growth of 10.40 percent in the first month of current Ira­nian year compared to the same period of previous year. The imports of the country reached 2 billion and 514million dollars showing a growth of 21.53 percent compared to the previous year.  Based on this report, during the period under consideration, the weight of Iran’s non-oil exports reached 6million and 236 thousand tons which increased as 5.45 percent. The re­port indicates that the weight of imports stood at 2 million and 644 thousand tons which shows a growth of 39.74 percent compared to the same period of previous year.

Exports
Main export items consisted of liquid propane with value of 211 million dollars and value share of 10.34 percent, liquid butane with value of 131 million dollars and value share of 6.42 per­cent, methanol with value of 102 million dollars and value share of 4.98 percent.  China with 2 million and 227 thousand tons of goods worthy of 694 million dollars or 34 percent of value share, Iraq with 1 million and 135 thousand tons of goods worthy of 365 million dollars or 18 percent of value share, UAE with 337 thousand tons of goods worthy of 210 million dollars or with 10 percent of value share, India with 334 thousand tons of goods worthy of 138 million dollars or 7 percent of value share, and Afghanistan with 108 thousand tons of goods worthy of 100 million dollars or 5 percent of value share, formed the main countries which imported goods from Iran.
Imports
The report further indicates that the main imported goods during the period under conside­ra­ti­on included wheat with value of 329 million dollars, rice with value of 95 million dollars, meal and other solid waste with value of 88 million dollars, sugar with value of 78 million dollars, and corn with value of 65 million dollars.  During the past 1st month, UAE with 604 million dollars, China with 445 million dollars, India with 234 million dollars, Turkey with 202 million dollars and Republic of Korea with 156 million dollars should be mentioned as the main sources of imported goods.
