The latest statistics of Iran Customs reveals that during the past 7 months of current Iranian year (started at March 21, 2014), the volume of Iran’s trade exchanges reached 57 billion and 214 million dollars
Based on the report of the public relations office of Iran Customs, the IT department reported that during the mentioned period 26 billion and 943 million dollars of various goods have been exported and 30 billion and 271 million dollars of goods have been imported in to the country.
The figures show that non-oil exports of the country increased by 19.09 percent and our country’s imports faced growth of 24.72 percent as well.
The main export items during the mentioned period included liquefied propane, methanol and film grade poly ethylene and the main purchasers of Iranian goods were China, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and India respectively.
The main imports of our country consisted of wheat with share of 4.29 percent, rice with 3.06 percent, vehicles with internal combustion piston engine with cylinder capacity of more than 1500 cc with share of 3.02 percent, soybean meal with 2.59 percent, and corn with share of 2.35 percent of total value of imports and the main goods exporters to Iran were UAE, China, South Korea, India and Turkey respectively.
