The latest report of Iran Customs indicates that the volume of Iran’s trade exchanges increased as 7 billion and 461 million dollars during the past four months of current Iranian year (started at March 21, 2014)

Based on the report of the Public Relations office of Iran Customs and according to the statistics issued by the IT department of IRICA, Iran’s total non-oil exports and imports during the first four months of current Iranian year increased as 7 billion and 461 million dollars compared to the same period of the previous year.  The total trade exchanges of Iran during the mentioned pe­riod reached 33 billion and 752 million dollars. The share of non-oil exports was 16 billion and 97 million dollars while the share of imports stood at 17 billion and 655 million dollars.
Based on this report, during the mentioned period, non-oil exports showed growth of 21.14 percent while our imports increased as 35.78 percent.

The figures indicate that during the past Iranian month ( June 22-July 22, 2014), the growth rate of non oil exports and imports were 0.61 percent and 0.15 percent respectively more than their growth rate in the past previous month(May 22 – June 22, 2014).

Import of animal products and basic goods including corn, soy meal, barely, medications, and ri­ce improved in the past month compared to the past previous month while in the case of im­ports of wheat and sugar we noticed a drop.  The main non oil exports included liquefied pro­pane, liquefied methanol and butane, and the main purchasers of Iranian goods were China, Iraq, UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey respectively.  During the past 4 months, Iran’s exports to China and Turkey increased as 32 and 31 percent re­s­pectively, while at the same time UAE allocated the best record of exporting goods to Iran to itself which increased as 86 percent. 

The main imported goods of our country consisted of wheat with share of 4.97 percent, vehi­cles with internal combustion piston engine with 3. 58 percent, corn with 2.75 percent and soy meal with 2.5 percent and the main countries exported goods to Iran were UAE, China, India, South Korea and Turkey.
