Berlin, Jan 4, IRNA -- German foreign ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer said sanctions imposed against Iran over its nuclear program could be lifted later this month as Tehran has met all its obligations under the July 14, 2015 Vienna nuclear accord.
Addressing a regular weekly government news conference in Berlin on Monday, Schaefer stressed Iran has never been this close to its objective of removing nuclear sanctions, as it has complied with all its duties under the landmark Vienna deal. Schaefer reiterated the pace of progress in implementing the Iran nuclear agreement has been much quicker than was previously expected. He made clear there was no evidence whatsoever that Iran would even deviate 'one iota' from its agreed nuclear commitments under the Vienna accord.
