EU-Iran Foreign Trade in the first quarter of  2019  generated 1260 mil­li­on Euro. The 28 EU coun­tries exported goods worth € 1042 mn Euro to Iran and imported goods worth € 218 mn.  Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 394 million Euro, fol­lowed by Italy (200 mn Euro) and Belgium and Luxemburg (100 mn Euro).

The European Union (EU28) export of goods to Iran stood at 1042 million Euro, a de­crea­se of 56%  com­­pared with the first quarter in 2018.  According to the la­test da­ta by Euro­stat, the sta­tis­tical office of the European Union, 33% of the EU ex­ports to Iran ca­me from Ger­­­many, which de­­­li­ve­red goods worth €339 million, that was 50% less than in the first quarter of 2018. Second (16%) was Italy with exports worth € 162 million (-60%), fol­lowed by France (€ 91 million, -63%) and the Ne­ther­­­lands (€ 89 million, -58%). 

In the first quarter of the year 2019 the 28 EU countries imported goods worth € 218 million from Iran, (a de­crea­se of 92% compared with the first quarter of 2018).  Major Iranian ex­ports to the Eu­ro­pean Union (25%) go to Germany, which imported goods worth € 55 million from Iran (-42%), fol­­lowed by Belgium and Luxemburg (€ 49 million, +76%) and Italy (€ 38 million,       -95%).
