EU-Iran Foreign Trade in January 2019  generated only 344 mil­li­on Euro. The 28 EU coun­tries exported goods worth € 290 mn Euro to Iran and imported goods worth € 54 mn.  Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 123 million Euro, fol­lowed by Italy  (49 mn Euro) and the Netherlands (48 mn Euro).

The European Union (EU28) export of goods to Iran stood at 290  mn Euro, a de­crea­se of 64% com­pared with January 2018.  According to the la­test da­ta by Euro­stat, the sta­tis­tical office of the European Union, 35% of the EU ex­ports to Iran ca­me from Ger­­­many, which de­livered goods worth €102 mn, that was 61% less than in January 2018. Second (16%) were the Netherlands with exports worth € 47 mn   (-52%), fol­lowed by Italy (€ 39 mn, -65%) and France (€ 26 mn, -66%). 

In January 2019 the 28 EU countries imported goods worth € 54 mn from Iran, (a de­crea­se of 95% compared with January 2018).  Major Iranian ex­ports to the Eu­ro­pean Union (39%) go to Germany, which imported goods worth € 21 mn from Iran (-46%), fol­­lowed by Italy (€ 10 mn, -97%) and Spain (€ 6 mn, -98%).
