Iran’s transactions with China are expected to exceed $40 billion in 2014, said the head of Iran-China Chamber of Commerce and Industries.  Assadollah Askaroladi also said on Tuesday Iran-China trade reached $36 billion in 2013, including $19 billion worth of Iranian exports to China and $17 billion worth of imports from the country, IRNA reported.  “A major portion of Iranian exports to China pertains to energy,” he said, adding that in the last 10 years, Iran’s exports to China surpassed imports from the country.  Askaroladi added that if China had not participated in the implementation of the Western sanctions against Iran in the past two years, the two countries’ transactions would have amounted to $50 billion at present.
