Tehran, March 19, IRNA – Iran will clock forth one hour on Sunday (March 20) midnight local time (03:30 GMT) in a016  bid to save energy as days start to become longer.  The move coincides with the Iranian New Year (Norouz) which marks the start of spring according to ancient Iranian solar calendar.  Clocks are also turned back one hour back to standard time at midnight on September 20 every year with the start of autumn as days start to become shorter.  

On 27 March 2016 daylight saving time starts in Germany and it ends on October 2016.
