The average goods and services Consumer Price Index in Iran during the 12-month period ending June 21, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Khordat, increased by 9.4% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported. CBI had put the inflation rate for the preceding month (Ordibehesht), which ended on May 21, at 9.1%.  The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 122.6 in Khordad, indicating a 4.3% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increase of 13.7% compared with the similar month of last year. 

The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) reported an inflation rate of 8.2% for the year ending June 21.
