According to the latest statistics of Iran Customs Administration, the value of foreign trade ex­cee­ded 42 billion and 14 million dollars during the first half of current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2016). 

Based on this report, the imports of our country reached 20 billion and 308million dollars show­ing a fall of 2.61 percent in comparison.   Main import items were corn for feeding animals with value of 551 million dol­lars, soy bean with 503 million dollars, rice with 478million dollars, sepa­rate parts and segments for passenger car manufacturing with 432 million dollars and different kinds of vehicles with 357 million dollars.  As for imports, China with 4,860 million dollars, UAE with 3,457 million dollars, Republic of Ko­rea with 1,577 million dollars, Turkey with 1,329 milli­on dollars and Germany with 1,122 million dollars allocated the highest share of Iran’s imports to themselves. It should be mentio­ned that exports of Germany to Iran increased by 26 percent compared to the figures of the same period of the previous year while exports of the a.m. other countries decreased in total.

During the six months of cur­rent year, 21 billion and 706 million dollars of non oil goods were ex­ported from the country which increased by 5.99 percent compared to the figures of the pre­vious year which was 20 bil­lion and 478 million dollars.  During the period under consideration, the main export items con­sis­ted of gas condensate with value of 3 billion and 496 million dol­lars , lique­fi­ed natural gases with value of 1 billion and 940 million dollars, petroleum gases and liquefied hydrocarbon gases with 836 million dollars, light oils and products except gasoline with 688 mil­lion dollars and li­que­­fied propane with 636 million dollars. Moreover during the mentioned pe­ri­od, 8 billion and 698 million dollars of petrochemical products were exported which indicates a growth of 22.04 percent compared to the figures of the same period of the previous year.  Chi­na with allocation of 3,998 million dollars , UAE with 3,401 million dollars, Iraq with 2,976 million dollars, Turkey with 2,321 million dollars and Republic of Korea with 1,780 million dol­lars of Iranian non oil exports ranked first to fifth in this regard.
