Italy was the most important EU- trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 424 million Euro, followed by France (305 mn Euro) and Germany  (300 mn Euro).

In January 2018 the European Union (EU28) export of goods to Iran stood at € 816 mn, an increase of 33% compared with January 2017.  According to the latest (preliminary) data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 32% of the EU-exports to Iran came from Germany, which delivered goods worth € 261 mn, that was 33% more than in January 2017. Second (16%) was Italy with exports worth € 111 mn (-12%), followed by the Netherlands  (€ 99 mn, 109%) and France (€ 75 mn, -49%).

In January 2018 the 28 EU countries imported goods worth  € 1,172 nn from Iran, (an increase of 52%  compared with January 2017).  With the removal of most of the sanctions at the end of January 2016, Iran again started the export of oil to Europe.  That is the reason for the high growth rates in Iranian exports to some EU countries.  Major Iranian exports to the European Union  go to Italy, which imported goods worth € 313 mn from Iran (+22%),  Spain (€ 240 mn, +107%), France (€ 230 mn, +103%) and Greece (€ 157 mn, +48%).  Germany holds 6th place with imports worth 39 million Euro (+44%).   http://marin-consult.com
