EU-Iran Foreign Trade in the first two month of the year 2018 reached 3.743 Bil­li­on Euro. The 28 EU countries exported goods worth $ 1,574 mn to Iran and imported goods worth $ 2,168 mn.  As a result, trade balance between Iran and EU stood at € 594 million in favor of Iran. Italy was the most important EU- trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 845 million Euro, fol­lowed by France (665 mn Euro) and Germany  (546 mn Euro). 

From January to February 2018 the European Union (EU28) export of goods to Iran stood at € 1574 mn, an in­crea­se of 2% compared with January and February 2017.  According to the la­test (preliminary) data by Euro­stat, the statistical office of the European Union, 30% of the EU-ex­ports to Iran came from Ger­many, which delivered goods worth € 479 mn, that was 9% more than in the first two month of 2017. Second (17%) was Italy with exports worth € 262 mn (-4%), followed by France (€ 168 mn, -21%) and the Netherlands (€ 150 mn, 71%).   

In January and February 2018 the 28 EU countries imported goods worth  € 2,168 nn from Iran, (an increase of 32%  compared with the first two month of 2017).  With the removal of most of the sanctions at the end of January 2016, Iran again started the export of oil to Europe.  That is the reason for the high growth rates in Iranian exports to some EU countries.  Major Iranian ex­ports to the European Union  go to Italy, which imported goods worth € 583 mn from Iran (+12%), France (€ 497 mn, +45%), Greece (€ 377 mn, +134%) Spain (€ 356 mn, +102%) and  the Netherlands (€ 111 mn, -42%).  Germany holds 6th place with imports worth 66 mil­­lion Euro (+2%).   http://marin-consult.com
