11-month foreign transactions at $80 B

11-month foreign transactions at Trade with foreign countries stood at $80.159 billion in the first eleven months of the current Iranian year (started March 21). Iran exported 83,293 million tons of commodities worth $37.363 billion during the said period, which shows a 15.73 percent rise in terms of weight and a 1,52 percent decline in terms of value, ISNA reported. Iron ore worth $1,258 million, liquid propane worth 1,122 million and oil tar worth $ 1,006 million were the major products exported during the period. Some $9.479 billion worth of gas condensates, $9.855 billion of petrochemical products and $18.029 billion of other items constituted the exported non-oil goods. The main export destina­tions were China, Iraq, UAE, India and Afghanistan with a value of $6.582 billion, $5.265 billion, $3.237 billion, $2.310 billion and $2.184 billion respectively. 

About 29,205 million tons of commodities worth $42.796 billion were imported during the said pe­riod, which shows a decline of 19,5 percent and 11.96 percent in terms of weight and value res­pectively. The five major imported goods were rice ($2.093 billion), soya-oilcake ($1.635 bil­lion), corn ($1,307 million), vehicles with a 1000-1500 cc cylinder ($1,097 milli­on) and wheat ($ 1,070 million),. During the period, Iran imported $9,246 billion worth of goods from UAE, which constitutes 21 percent of the whole imports, while China, India, South Korea and Turkey were next in line with $8.407 billion, $3.728 billion, 3.376 billion and $3.247 billion respectively.
