Iran's non-oil foreign trade during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (started March 20, 2015) reached $76 billion.
Non-Oil-Exports stood at $39 billion, registering a 17% drop. China was Iran’s top export destination importing $6 billion (19%) worth of goods. It was followed by Iraq (17%), the UAE (14%), India (7%) and Afghanistan (7%) in a descending order. The main items of non-oil exports were oil gases, hydrocarbons in gas form, liquid propane and oil tar.
Imports stood at $37 billion, which indicates a 23% decline. China was als o the biggest exporter, having shipped $9.3 billion worth of commodities (25%) to the Islamic Republic during the 11-month period. It was followed by the UAE (19%), South Korea (9%) and Turkey (7%). Switzerland, finds its way into the list of the big five, exported $2.2 billion (6%) of products to the country. India exported goods worth $1.9 billion (6%) and Gemany holds the 7th place with exports worth $1.4 billion (4%). The main items for imports are respectively corn for livestock amounted to 3.47 percent of total import values, wheat by 2.01 percent, Soyabeans by 1.85 percent, rice by 1.68 percent and spare parts for car assembling 1.63 percent.
