The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the ninth month of the year 1404 (started March 20). According to the latest data, the annual inflation for the month under review (Azar) increased to 42.2%, marking a 1.8 percent increase from the previous month, In terms of point to point CPI rise, “food and beverages“ with 72.3% saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services; followed by ‘tobacco products’ with 60.4% and ‘household supplies and furniture’ with 52.6% and ”health services” with 50.4%. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 435.1, reflecting a 4.2 percent rise compared to the previous month and a 52.6% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
