Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January 2024 generated 849 million Euro (+9%). The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 704 million Euro (+10%) to Iran and imported goods worth 145 million Euro (+4%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 280 million Euro, followed by Italy (124 million Euro), Romania (91 million Euro) and the Netherlands (88 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first two month of the year 2024 stood at 704 million Euro, an increase of 10% compared to January till February 2023. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 34% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 241 million Euro, that was 22% more than in the first two month of the year 2023. Second (12%) was Italy with exports worth 86 million Euro (+3%) followed by Romania (85 million Euro, +64%) and the Netherlands (79 million Euro, -15%).
From January to February 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 145 million Euro from Iran (+4%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (27%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 39 million Euro from Iran (-16%), followed by Italy (38 million Euro, +51%) and Spain (16 million Euro, +21%).
