Eurostat: EU27:   Iran foreign trade from January to August 2023 generated 2,972 million Euro. The 27 EU coun­tries exported goods worth € 2,439 million Euro (-8%) to Iran and imported goods worth € 533 million (-26%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 892 million Euro, followed by Italy (483 million Euro) and the Netherlands (366 million Euro). 

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to August 2023 stood at 2.439 mil­lion Euro, a decrease of 8% compared to the first eight month of the year 2022. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­tis­tical office of the European Union, 30% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 725 million Euro, that was 26% less than in January-August 2022. Second (16%) was Italy with exports worth 383 million Euro (+20%) followed by the Netherlands (336 million Euro, +44%), Belgium (198 million Euro, +50%) and France (194 million Euro, -14%).

In the first eight month of the year 2023 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 533 million Euro from Iran (-26%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (31%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 167 million Euro from Iran (-12%), followed by Italy (100 million Euro, -11%) and Spain (55 million Euro, -44%)
