The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first six month of the cur­rent Iranian year (started March 21). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Shahrivar) stood at 46.1%, down from 46.7% in the month before. 

In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “hotels and restaurants” with 55.4 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services, followed by “clothing and shoes” with 47.7%. Food and beverages were 37.7% more expensive in the month of Shahrivar than in the same month of the previous year. The Consumer Price Index was reported at 201,7 indicating a 39.5% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
