The Statistical Center of Iran has released a new report on inflation in the first three month of the cur­rent Iranian year (started March 21). According to the latest data, the annualized inflation for the month under review (Khordad) stood at 48.5%, down from 49.1% in the month before.  In terms of year-on-year CPI rise, “hotels and restaurants” with 62.5 saw the highest among 12 groups of goods and services, followed by “health” with 53.1%. Food and beverages were 42% more expensive in Khordad than in the same month of the previous year.

The Consumer Price Index was reported at 189.3, indicating a 42.6% rise compared to the same month of the year before.
