The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) announced that the inflation rate in the twel­ve-month period ended on June 20, which marks the end of the third Iranian calen­dar month of Khordad, stood at 27.8 percent. The inflation rate has fallen two per­­cent in the menti­on­ed time span from the last-months period. The average annual inflation has been on a downtrend since the middle of last Iranian year (March 2019-20).

The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 214.2 for the Iranian month to June 20, indicating a 1.5% rise compared with the month before and 22.5% compared with the similar month of the previous Iranian year.
