The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) put the average inflation rate in the twelve-month period that ended on April 20, which marks the end of the first Iranian ca­len­dar month of the Iranian year 1401, at 39,2 percent, less 1.0 percentage points from the figure for the twelve-month period that ended on the last day of the last month of the previous Iranian year.

The center put the country’s point-to-point inflation rate at 35.6 percent in the first month of this year, that is 0.9 percent more than in the month before.  Point-to-Point means that families have paid an average of 35.6 percent more for purchasing the same package of commodities and services in that month, compared to the same month in the year before.
