The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) announced that the inflation rate in the twelve-month period ended on October 22, which marks the end of the seventh Iranian calendar month of Mehr, stood at 45.4 percent,  less 0.4 percentage points from the figure for the twelve-month period ended on the last day of the sixth month.

The Point-to-Point inflation in the Ira­­nian month to October 22, indicated a 39.27% rise com­­pa­red with the similar month of the previous Iranian year. The point-to-point inflation rate was 4.5 percentage point less than the figure for the previous month.

The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 364.1 for the month ending Oct. 22, indicating a 3.7% rise compared with the month before. Month-on-month consumer inflation was 3.9% for the preceding month.
