The average goods and services urban Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending November 21, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Aban, increased by 18,4% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported. CBI had put the inflation rate for the preceding month of Mehr, which ended on October 22, at 15.9%. The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 153.6 in the Iranian month of Aban, indicating a 3.5% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increase of 39,4% compared with the similar month of last year. The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) reported an inflation rate of 15.6% for the year ending November 21.
