The average goods and services urban Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending Oc­to­­ber  22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Mehr, increased by 15,9% com­pared with last year’s corres­ponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported.  CBI had put the infla­ti­on rate for the preceding month of Shahrivar, which ended on September 22, at 13.5%. The over­all CPI (using the Irani­an year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 148.4 in the Iranian month of Mehr , indica­ting a 4.6% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increa­se of 36,9% compared with the similar month of last year.  The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) re­ported an inflation rate of 13.4% for the year ending October  22.
