The average goods and services urban Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending October 22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Mehr, increased by 15,9% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported. CBI had put the inflation rate for the preceding month of Shahrivar, which ended on September 22, at 13.5%. The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 148.4 in the Iranian month of Mehr , indicating a 4.6% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increase of 36,9% compared with the similar month of last year. The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) reported an inflation rate of 13.4% for the year ending October 22.
