The average goods and services urban Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending Septem­ber  22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Shahrivar, increased by 13.5% com­pared with last year’s corres­ponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported. CBI had put the infla­ti­on rate for the preceding month of Mordad, which ended on August 22, at 11.5% The overall CPI (using the Irani­an year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 141.9 in Shahrivar, indica­ting a 6.1% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increa­se of 31,4% compared with the similar month of last year. The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) re­ported an inflation rate of 11.4% for the year ending September  22.
