The average goods and services urban Consumer Price Index in the 12-month period ending September 22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Shahrivar, increased by 13.5% compared with last year’s corresponding period, the Central Bank of Iran reported. CBI had put the inflation rate for the preceding month of Mordad, which ended on August 22, at 11.5% The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year) stood at 141.9 in Shahrivar, indicating a 6.1% rise compared with the previous month. The index registered a year-on-year increase of 31,4% compared with the similar month of last year. The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) reported an inflation rate of 11.4% for the year ending September 22.
