The average goods and services Consumer Price Index for urban areas in the 12 months ending July  21, which marks the end of the fourth Iranian month of Tir, increased by 10.3% com­pa­red with last year’s corresponding period, the latest report released by the Central Bank of Iran an­nounced.  CBI had put the inflation rate for the preceding month of Khordad, which ended June 21, at 10.2%. The overall CPI (using the Iranian year to March 2012 as the base year) stood at 266.9 in Tir,  0.1% less compared with the previous month. The in­dex registered a year-on-year increase of 9.9% compared with the similar month of last year.  The CBI report came after the Statistical Center of Iran put Tir inflation at 7.6%.
