Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade from January to May 2023 generated 1,866 million Euro. The 27 EU coun­tries exported goods worth € 1,513 million Euro (-6%) to Iran and imported goods worth € 353 million (-24%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 573 million Euro, followed by Italy (294 million Euro) and the Netherlands (242 million Euro). 

The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran from January to May 2023 stood at 1,513 mil­lion Euro, a decrease of 6% compared to the first five month of the year 2022. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the sta­tis­tical office of the European Union, 30% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that de­livered goods worth 461 million Euro, that was 29% less than in January-May 2022. Second (15%) was Italy with exports worth 231 million Euro (+21%), followed by the Netherlands (223 million Euro, +69%), France (113 million Euro, +24%) and Belgium (106 million Euro, +23%).

In the first five month of the year 2023 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 353 million Euro from Iran (-24%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (32%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 112 million Euro from Iran (-15%), followed by Italy (63 million Euro, -15%), Spain (40 million Euro, -32%), Belgium (26 million Euro, +16%) and Bulgaria (24 million Euro, -36%).
