Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January to September 2024 generated 3,466 million Euro (+1%). The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 2,836 million Euro (0%) to Iran and imported goods worth 630 million Euro (+6%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 1,141 million Euro, followed by Italy (521 million Euro) and the Netherlands (457 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first nine month of the year 2024 stood at 2,836 million Euro, that is nearly the same compared to January till September 2023. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 35% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 982 million Euro, that was 11% more than in the first nine month of the year 2023. Second (15%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 431 million Euro (+9%) followed by Italy (371million Euro, -13%), Belgium (236 million Euro, +1%) and France (195 million Euro, -8%).
From January to September 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 630 million Euro from Iran (+6%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (25%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 159 million Euro from Iran (-13 followed by Italy (150 million Euro, +36%) and Spain (57 million Euro, -5%).
