Eurostat: EU27-Iran foreign trade in January to April 2024 generated 1,609 million Euro (+8%). The 27 EU countries exported goods worth € 1,317 million Euro (+9%) to Iran and imported goods worth 292 million Euro (+2%). Germany was the most important EU trade partner of Iran, with a trade volume of 509 million Euro, followed by Italy (245 million Euro), the Netherlands (188 million Euro) and Romania (131 million Euro).
The European Union (EU27) export of goods to Iran in the first four month of the year 2024 stood at 1,317 million Euro, an increase of 9% compared to January till April 2023. According to the latest data by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, 33% of the EU exports to Iran came from Germany that delivered goods worth 430 million Euro, that was 15% more than in the first four month of the year 2023. Second (13%) were the Netherlands with exports worth 170 million Euro (-5%) followed by Italy (168 million Euro, -3%) and Romania (115 million Euro, +113%).
From January to April 2024 the 27 EU countries imported goods worth 292 million Euro from Iran (+2%). Most of the Iranian exports to the European Union (27%) went to Germany, which imported goods worth 79 million Euro from Iran (-15%), followed by Italy (77 million Euro, +55%) and Spain (28 million Euro, -11%).
